Scholarships
MidSouth awards local graduating high school seniors with scholarships each year. Each year, 45 students receive $1,500 scholarships based on academic excellence, extracurricular achievements, and financial need. Scholarships can be used to pay tuition at college, university, or trade school.
Government in Action Youth Tour
5 high school juniors or seniors represent MidSouth in Washington, D.C. each year with students from across the United States. This all-expenses-paid trip includes tours of the most famous historical sights, national monuments, museums, and personal visits with their congressional representatives. In addition, MidSouth representatives receive a $1,500 scholarship for college, university, or trade school.
Partner Agencies
MidSouth’s charitable foundation works directly with partner agencies within the community to help meet the needs of the most vulnerable among us. These funds are reserved for cooperative members who meet the partner agencies’ criteria for assistance. Local Food Banks
MidSouth works directly with Brazos Valley Food Bank and Montgomery County Food Bank to supply food and nutritional information focusing on our underprivileged youth and fixed-income elderly. In addition to monetary donations distributed through the charitable foundation, MidSouth EC hosts the KBTX Food for Families Food Drive Grimes County drop-off location each year.
