MidSouth Electric Cooperative Subsidiaries Enter Purchase Agreement with City of Conroe for Water and Wastewater Systems
Navasota, TX – September 24, 2026 – Following a regular session of the Conroe City Council, MidSouth accepted an offer and signed a purchase agreement for the transfer of MidSouth’s Water and Wastewater assets to the City of Conroe.
Having been established by MidSouth to help economic growth in Montgomery, Texas, and provide access to necessary utilities for cooperative members, MidSouth Water Services and MidSouth Wastewater Services, have always operated within Conroe’s ETJ. MidSouth has worked to manage both systems responsibly for the betterment of the community and to the benefit of its cooperative membership.
MidSouth will continue normal operations of both systems until the transaction is approved by the PUC of Texas and a full transfer of all related assets is complete.
